VoYagers
The Voices of Youth!
To learn about |
"Voices of Youth" or VoYagers is BA-DFW's youth forum, dedicated to community outreach in the Dallas Fort-Worth metroplex. The group originally started with a group of teenagers. Today, however, it includes kids as young as ten years old. The VoYagers forum provides a platform for the very young people in our community to volunteer their time and effort toward worthy charitable causes. In the process, they are also able to interact meaningfully with each other, and acquire valuable skills related to planning, discipline, leadership and responsibility.
In the past, VoYager members participated in variety of voluntary work, and their efforts and resourcse contributed to a number of organizations, including:
- Foster Kids Charity
- Make-A-Wish Foundation of North Texas
- Meals on Wheels
- North Texas Food Bank
- Pauline Allen Gill Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders (CCBD) of the Childrens' Medical Centre of Dallas
- RMH Lunch Service
- Ronald McDonald House of Dallas
- Salvation Army
- Scottish Rite Hospital
- Texas Scottish Rite Hospital (Rock N' Roll Marathon)
