About the artiste . . .
Arnab Chakraborty hails from Kolkata, where he has been a regular live performer since the age of fifteen. He started his career with advertisement jingles, remixes, and regional movie songs. With a few years of hard work. Arnab got the big break he was waiting for. His song Wada Raha Pyar Se Pyar Ka from the film KHAKEE, released in the year 2004, climbed the charts very quickly and, subsequently, he was nominated for :
1. The Best Male Playback Singer at The Zee Cine Awards 2005 held at The Excel Arena in London
2. The Best Male Playback Singer at The Stardust Awards 2005
His next offering was Qatra Qatra from the movie Family (2006), a film that was directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, and whose music direction was by Ram Sampath. As in Khakee, he was the voice of Akshay Kumar in Family once again. Along with Qatra Qatra, the movie also features Arnab's vocals in two more songs — Janam Janam and Quick Byte. In addition to film songs, pop and remix albums, Arnab's mellifluous voice has also been featured in popular ad jingles, featuring products and brands like AirTel, Parachute, Samsung, Britannia, 7UP, Coca Cola, Asian Paints, Odonil, and many more.
On 4th May 2008, Asha Bhosle, the music legend of India, declared Arnab the Champion of K for KISHORE — a musical reality show from Sony Entertainment Television, based on the songs of the eminent and exalted Indian singer, Kishore Kumar.
